Geeks Girls Strike Back With The Power Of Psy In “Angry Geeky Girl” Music Video

Which is why it’s awesome that in spite of such behavior, Jenny Lorenzo and her friends at Aggressive Comix whipped up this awesome spoof of Psy’s latest hit Gentleman in a strike back against scumbags and haters of the world, all while showing off some awesome cosplay.  Turns out Psy’s astonishingly addictive choreography works just as well for Rogue, Sailor Moon, and a Venom-suited Spider-Man suit as well as it does for the goofy Korean Raptor.

Bonus points for the impressive TARDIS replica while I’m at it.

Jurassic Park Goes Dubstep in Incredible Mash-Up Music Video

Jurassic Park 3D is getting a nationwide release this weekend, being put on display for 2,777 theaters from sea to shining sea.

While the film makes its glorious return to the silver screen twenty years later (in stunning anaglyph), this 3-minute mash-up is a nice primer to the theatrical re-release of one of the greatest adventure films of all time.

Nerd Rapper Will Release a New EP Each Month This Year, Remind Us Nerd Music Is Still Relevant

If there’s something that the nerd music world needs more of, it’s probably Mega Ran, one of those rarities who somehow manages to churn out stuff that’s awesome on a fairly regular basis. As part of his new Time and Space Project, the  Philadelphia-based nerd rapper will be dropping a new EP on the second Tuesday of every month — all throughout 2013.

Like a lot of Random’s stuff, this means more songs chunk full of the nostalgia for 80s/90s games we’ve come to know and love.

Jay-Z Levels Up With Chrono Trigger In Mashup Album: ‘Chrono Jigga’

Hip hop producers have been sampling video games for years now and today we have an epic mashup album featuring Jay-Z and the music of Chrono Trigger.

Chrono Trigger, needless to say, is a classic SNES title with one of the more memorable soundtracks of the era and producer 2 Mello’s new album brings it together with some of Jay Z’s biggest hits from over the years. The album is called Chrono Jigga, you can listen to it below.

Nerd Rapper KadeshFlow Roots for the Bad Guy In New Tomb Raider Rap

Fink, aka Andrew Fink, is a Google employee who works at the company’s New York City office. According to Geek.com, Google’s ‘official’ company policy is that their employees only have to work 80% of the time they’re there.

The other 20%, apparently, can be spent doing whatever you want (wonder if they have an open bar like Electronic Arts, hahaha). With both music entrepreneur (The Human Tim) and  VFX designer (Zachariah Scott) having composed their own separate and pretty inspiring tributes to GLaDOS and Chell, it must officially be Portal Day.

These odes set the bar a little higher, though: Scott is a VFX desiger whose past work includes working on Mass Effect 2 and 3, as well as founding the Machinima group Lit Fuse Films, while The Human Tim is a one man metal machine who concocts Iron Maiden-worthy guitar adaptations of classic video game songs. Hope You Like Castlevania: Filmmakers and Musicians Pay Tribute to All Things Belmont

Of all the Golden Age NES games that consistently rank among the greatest, Castlevania seems like the most criminally overlooked. While it may seem as though Mario and Luigi, with all their parodies and tributes, may be the most mimicked, Simon Belmont is being honored in 2 different media forms in the same week.

The first is a nerdcore/techno tribute to Konami’s flagship series, courtesy of BLiNd. Then, some aspiring auteurs have made the Castlevania tribute film “Legend of Vania”, which may very well constitute one of the elaborately made LEGO movies ever.
