Imagine you were forced to perform open heart surgery–welcome to Surgeon Simulator 2013. Although graphic, the game seems to take on a more humorous appeal then you may think (via GI). Check out the hilarious gameplay video below.
Tasked with performing open heart surgery using any tools available, players must complete the operation in the quickest time with the least amount of blood loss possible.
The game gives the player control of each of the surgeon’s fingers with what appears to be almost rag-doll like mechanics–and it’s hilarious to watch. The game apparently features a “revolutionary one-to-one finger manipulation control system” and “realistic surgical tool physics.”
Created by Tom Jackson, James Broadley, Luke Williams and Jack Good from Bossa Studios, Surgeon Simulator 2013 was completed in 48 hours as the company’s entry in the Global Game Jam competition. Each year entries must follow a basic theme. This year’s theme was “heart/heartbeat.”
“You are Nigel Burke… an ordinary guy, with no outstanding skills. Somehow forced to perform a heart transplant, using any tools available. Complete the operation in the quickest time possible, with minimal blood loss! Features Revolutionary 1 to 1 finger manipulation control system Realistic surgical tool physics. Professional voice acting. Thumping soundtrack. This is, Surgeon Simulator 2013.” – GlobalJam
For those of you that are interested in giving the game a try, it is available here for Windows, Mac, Web Browser and Linux. Either way be sure to check the hilarious video footage of Surgeon Simulator 2013 below (Warning: the game’s visuals could be graphic to some):

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
