In a unbelievable statement made on The Daily Rundown with Chuck Todd on MSNBC, Senator Lamar Alexander said that he believes video games are a greater threat than guns (courtesy of Daily Kos via Kotaku).
You can see the Tennessee Republican make this ridiculous statement in the video below.
Footage of Senator Alexander’s appearance on The Daily Rundown was uploaded to Youtube by the liberal current events blog Daily Kos with the description, “Dumb thing to say, or dumbest thing ever?”
Here is what the elected official had to say:
“I think video games is a bigger problem than guns, because video games affect people,” U.S senator Lamar Alexander told Daily Rundown host Chuck Todd. “The First Amendment limits what we can do about video games. The Second Amendment to the Constitution limits what we can do about guns.”
Senator Alexander is currently reported to be attached as a supporter to the National Rifle Association. He is part of the NRA’s “A Team,” which is a group of 49 influential members of the senate who have “unqualified support of the NRA,” according to Credo Action via Polygon.
Lamar Alexander says guns don’t kill people, video games do.

Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
