Halo 4 will be getting quite a lot of DLC in the months after launch and today 343 Industries has announced the War Games season pass. The War Games Pass will offer all of the downloadable content for Halo 4 at a 15% discount.
343 has also released the newest gameplay launch trailer for Halo 4, you can check out on Halo Waypoint here. Below we also have a gallery of some Halo 4 War Games concept art courtesy of All Games Beta.
The season pass will cost you $24.99 USD or 2,000 Microsoft Points. The pass will confirm your access to three War Games map packs and, as we mentioned above, will be 15% cheaper than buying the map packs separately. The three War Games map packs will roll out in December, February and April.
In addition to the 15% discount on the maps, season pass holders will also receive two exclusive in-game helmets as well as a unique in-game bonus emblem called ‘Falcon’. The helmets are called ‘Scanner’ and ‘Strider’ and feature “new geometry.”

Each of the map packs contain three environments, the December bundle will include the maps Wreckage, Harvest, and Shatter. The February pack will bring Landfall, Monolith, and Skyline. Lastly, in April players will get their hands on Daybreak, Outcast, and Perdition.
The three bundles are called Crimson Map Pack, Majestic Map Pack and Castle Map Pack. Here is a brief break down and description of each of the packs from Major Nelson (via GT):
“Crimson Map Pack (December release timeframe)
Description: Witness the chaos of a clash of civilizations in Wreckage, with its blend of claustrophobic spaces and dangerous exposures and venture into the human colony environs of Harvest, and explore a human foray on an alien moon in Shatter.
Majestic Map Pack (February release timeframe)
Description: Landfall’s emphasis is on infantry battles against a glittering ocean on a distant world, while Monolith exposes you to the naked vacuum of space – and the firepower of opposing teams, and Skyline’s distinctly industrial feel provides new challenges in somewhat familiar, but occasionally confined spaces.
Castle Map Pack (April release timeframe)
Description: Daybreak is set in a military facility against the backdrop of an idyllic mountain range, while Outcast plunges you into the warrens, canyons and arches of an alien edifice, and Perdition takes players into the heart of an urban sprawl, with tactical speed and situational awareness its key features.”
Major Nelson also mentions some good news for those of you that have purchased the Halo 4 exclusive console bundle. The War Games Pass will come included with the bundle as part of the purchase.
