505 Games and Echo Peak have recently revealed Way of The Dogg, a fighting game that is based on and stars Snoop himself.
The Way of the Dogg is a rhythm fighting game coming to PSN, XBLA and Mobile later this year.
Below we have some screens of the game as well as a short launch trailer with footage of Snoop Lion in the studio smoking — I mean — recording voice overs for the game (via GT).
The game is an officially licensed project between 505, Echo Peak and Snoop that is inspired “and soundtracked by the music that defined a genre and a generation.”
The Way of the Dogg is said to combine Snoop’s love of Kung Fu movies along with his infectious chart topping hits “with Echo Peak’s expertise in music gaming to create a truly unique rhythm-action, beat-matching combat experience.” Each level will pit Snoop up against a different fighter, each with a unique fighting style and strategy.

“Everyone knows that Snoop is down with the biggest and best video games whether it’s droppin’ my hits on the soundtrack or showing the world I can go toe- to-toe with the best fighters on the street but Way of the Dogg is the first true gamification of my music,” Snoop explains.
“This game shows how we evolve as individuals and they’ve incorporated the journey of my own personal reincarnation as Snoop Lion into my character, the environments and the path that players have to follow.”
The last time we saw Snoop was in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (2011) where Snoop was availalbe in the DLC “Snoop Dogg Stage” — appearing on a throne surrounded by a gaggle of females.
The new game will release later this year as a tie in to Snoop’s new album and upcoming film, Reincarnated. Along with his new alia, Snoop Lion, The album is set to release April 23, 2013 with the film coming to select theaters on March 15, 2013.

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
