Guess it was only a matter of time before Mega Man addicts Random and DJ Cutman collaborated.
Wouldn’t have expected it would result in a tribute to Halo, but the end result, “The Promise,” is not only kick-ass but also pleasantly addictive. They’ve clearly put a lot of effort and energy into the production of it all, and entered it into the official Halo 4 remix contest. The result comes is a nerdcore song that embraces a more traditional hip-hop sound, telling the Halo story from a UNSC soldier’s point of view. It’s a solid hip hop song, but to be honest, I think both guys have done better work on their own. Still, it’s a pretty good first collaboration, which manages to merge chiptune melody with the ginormous orchestra swells of the Halo soundtrack behind it.
DJ Cutman has also released a short blog detailing exactly intricate the recording process was, as well as how much work he put into production (which sounds insane to be honest). If you’re so inclined, you can find out more about the Halo 4 remix contest here. Looking forward to what these guys come up next, especially on their own…

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.

That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
