Galaxy Note 5.3 hybrid and Galaxy Tab 7.7 unveiled by Samsung

Perhaps one of the most interesting new products to be unveiled at this year’s IFA, currently taking place in Berlin, Germany, is Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 5.3 tablet/smartphone hybrid and Galaxy Tab 7.7.

While we’re not sure whether Samsung is referring to their new Galaxy Note device as a smartphone or a tablet, it packs in a phone and comes with an interesting 5.3-inch display, unlike any other currently on the market. Early reviews of the 1280×800 SuperAMOLED display have been amazing, but we’re not too sure how comfortable it will be in your pocket (if it even fits). The Note comes with a Samsung-built 1.4GHz single core processor, and runs Gingerbread with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top.

The newly announced Galaxy Tab 7.7, on the other hand, runs Android Honeycomb 3.2 (which recently received some upgrades for smaller screened tablets), and of course sports a 7.7-inch display with an incredibly thin 7.89mm profile.
