gaming-the-walking-dead-survival-instinct-screenshot-4Activision has now given a firm release date for its upcoming The Walking Dead themed FPS, Survival Instinct. The publisher has also confirmed that we will be seeing a Wii U version as well.

Survival Instinct will hit stores on March 29 for the  Playstation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 as well as being available to download for PC users.

When we talked about how Derrick Smith and Ryan Hogan planned the 5K Zombie Run back last year, it was one of those things sort of supposed to be a goof — the event was mainly designed for fun and to draw attention to Hogan’s new apparel line.

As it turns out, 10,000 people can’t be wrong: Smith and Hogan were so impressed by the turnout that they decided to do it again — this time, directly as a tribute to AMC hit The Walking Dead. 

Instead of a low-key event with a few dozen zombies, this event will consist of enduring an obstacle course, and of course avoiding tons of mindless zombie hordes running/walking at different speeds while, of course, trying to kill you. Netflix continues to make a splash in the news, this time for the better, with the announcement that they’ll be expanding their content library with titles from the AMC Network library.

What might be the biggest coup for Netflix out of the deal is that The Walking Dead will be exclusive to Netflix in the U.S. and Canada, heading towards the shows debut on October 12th.
