video-game-noir-batman-arkham-city-via-wccftechTime Warner has announced that a new entry in the Batman Arkham franchise will be coming this year. Unfortunatly just about nothing is known about the title at this point.

During the company’s Q4 2012 financial call, CFO and Chief Administrative Officer John K. Martin said that, “We also have a strong game release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise.”

As posted by Yahoo Finance via GT, Martin continued with, “So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012.”

If you’re like me, you probably feel a sense of urgency to purchase a game the first week, or even the first day it’s released. Aggressive marketing campaigns months in advance of a game’s release certainly helps build the anticipation, but is it really worth NOT waiting for the inevitable price drops, patches, and reviews in the weeks following a title’s launch? In my experience, it rarely is.

First of all, the majority of games will see a price drop within the first three months of release, many much sooner. If that isn’t reason enough, the deal gets even sweeter when devs end up bundling previously paid DLC into the retail copy of the game– sometimes for even less than the game originally debuted for without Continue reading “#ThoughtsOnGaming: Avoiding Buying Games at Launch May Not Be A Bad Idea” »

But wait…Arkham City doesn’t come out until Tuesday? Try telling that to us here at the Jace Hall Show…who are currently playing Arkham City as we speak and showing off our true L337NESS. Not one to brag, but in this case, how can we not? Nevermind how we procured a copy of the game, just know that it was done legally and that the game is epic.

Arkham City has already been dubbed a perfect game by several news outlets, receiving a 10/10 ranking. It helps solidify one of the most epic years in gaming, with the Gears release and Rage just after it. Continue reading “‘Arkham City’ is OFFICIALLY in The Hands of The Jace Hall Show” »

We all know that Batman: Arkham Asylum, originally released almost two years back on Xbox, PS3, and PC, received critical acclaim and was arguably one of the better games of the year. Now Mac users can soon get the experience natively on OS X (without running Windows on BootCamp or OnLive) as Feral Interactive plans on launching the title via the Mac App Store on October 13.
