Recently we reported on the announcement of DuckTales Remastered, the HD remake of the beloved DuckTales NES title. The remastered version is set to bring the same amazing experience the original did with a host of new upgrades and content.
The original DuckTales game is such a memorable experience for a lot of us with its iconic music and non linear gameplay, something Capcom producer Rey Jimenez ensures us developer WayForward takes very seriously. Jimenez tells us “WayForward is using the NES version as the blueprint for all of the level layouts…most of what you’re going to see will be true to those old maps.” He continued by saying that Remastered hosts a bunch of new features that “were done to enhance” what Capcom and WayForward feel “the original dev team intended…”
DuckTales Remastered will feature HD 3D backgrounds and hand drawn sprites as well as a new hub area that will allow players to “take Scrooge for a dive and swim into his vault of money,” says Jimenez. Money collected in the game can be spent on unlockables in the all new gallery as well. Capcom Vancouver, the studio behind Dead Rising 2, has announced that it is working on a new game and that it won’t feature any zombies (via IGN). So we can rule out Dead Rising 3.
At this point we have very little to go on terms of details, but we do know it will most likely be a new IP. Unlike Ninja Theory’s recent reboot of Devil May Cry, Capcom Vancouver will be creating something big and brand new, not a re-imagining of existing property.

Mega Man fans were shocked earlier this year when Capcom said that it would not be releasing a new game to celebrate the beloved franchise’s 25th anniversary.
The last few entires have been less than stellar and have left fans both disappointed and worried about the future of the blue bomber. So much so in fact that many felt that Capcom’s choice to not bring a new title for the anniversary meant that Mega Man would be no more.
Fortunately, in a new interview Capcom has said that it intends on bringing more Mega Man content in the future. Talking to Nintendo Power, Capcom USA said that the company plans to bring new Mega Man experiences soon for both the mobile handheld market and consoles.

Devil May Cry: DMC has received a lot of criticism over its somewhat new take on the franchise and today we get word that a familiar face will be playable in the game’s first DLC. Vergil is a character we all know from past iterations, but Dante’s twin brother isn’t necessarily the guy we remember this time around.
Diving into the character’s past, Vergil’s Downfall will be story driven DLC that will act as a prequel to the main game. This is where we get to see a different side of Vergil and the events that occur before Dante comes in to play. Below we have the new Vergil’s Downfall trailer which was released today and features some gameplay footage of him in action.

The Butcher shop features edible products made to look like severed human remains. Covered in blood stains and human body parts, this pop-up art installation turns the Wesker and Son shop into a human butchery.

Recently Capcom announced a brand new IP called ‘Remember Me‘ that will be developed by Dotnod Entertainment. It is a third person action adventure game set in a futuristic Paris that will be launching next year for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Some of you may remember a game called ‘Adrift’ that was unveiled at Gamescom last year. Having already been half playable and originally set in Australia and North America, Adrift has since been been renamed ‘Remember Me’ and will now take place in a futuristic Paris.
According to Joystiq Remember Me is set in 2048 Neo-Paris where new social infrastructure creates an economy “where memories are bought and sold.” Remember Me creates a world where civilians have accepted the surveillance society in return for the technological benefits it affords them. We already know what to expect from the highly anticipated upcoming Resident Evil 6, as far there being three distinct playable campaigns that all encompass their own style of play. Players will be able to play as three different characters: series veterans Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and the new guy, Jake Mueller. Capcom is keen on showcasing the different style of play each character will bring to the table and today it has released almost 20 full minutes of gameplay to do just that.
The two part gameplay demo seen below features some of Leon Kennedy’s portion of the game, which according to the Capcom blog (via Gametrailers), is described as “tense, atmospheric gameplay”. We see a much more slow, emotional gameplay in the demo below where Leon is “trapped in a zombie-infested Tall Oaks during a night time banquet for the president.” Continue reading “Check Out Gameplay Footage For Leon In Resident Evil 6” »
