mass-effect-3-DLCNew Mass Effect 3 images have surfaced online leading some to believe that there could be some new DLC for the epic sci-fi RPG on the way. The two images (seen below) came to us courtesy of series executive producer Casey Hudson and producer Michael Gamble on Twitter this morning (via AllGasmesBeta).

At this point it is unknown what these pictures might be teasing, but chances are it is regarding some new content coming to Bioware’s ME3. The two mysterious images showcase a Krogan and a casino.

Along with the images the two tweeted about each others leak. “Does not look like a guy you’d want to mess with,” Gamble said pertaining to the Krogan image Hudson dropped. Hudson in turn, commenting on the casino image from Gamble, said “looks like a nice place for some R&R…”

Gamble then followed up on Twitter once more with:

Enjoy your teasers. Two for the price of one ;)

The official Mass Effect Facebook page took notice of the two teaser images. The page reads:

“Casey Hudson and Mike Gamble both tweeted some strange images this morning. What do you make of it?”

Like we mentioned above there is no official word from Bioware at this time as to what these images might be teasing. Along with some comments last month from designer Joe Hendricks and composer Sam Hulick, most people believe the images to be teasing some upcoming ME3 DLC. Hendricks said, “pretty much every ME3 DLC writer here in Edmonton is involved” in creating new DLC. Sam Hulick added that this new content has a “high potential for tears.”

8242135715_a2a275441b_zMany felt that Ubisoft’s open-world shooter got overlooked by many of the major game of the year awards due to its late release date in the year. Since then Far Cry 3 has received critical praise for its experience system, wildlife and overall look and feel. Far Cry 3 is considered by many to be one the best games of last year.

Today Sony has announced that the first batch of DLC for Far Cry 3 is coming exclusively to the company’s console on January 15 for free. At this point it is still unclear as to whether or not the High Tides content will be made available on Xbox 360 and PC. This is the same exclusive bundle Sony teased back in December.

Earlier this week we reported to you on next week’s DLC coming to Assassin’s Creed 3. Season Pass holders were lucky enough to get their hands on the game’s first DLC yesterday, but Xbox 360 owners weren’t so lucky when installing The Hidden Secrets DLC caused various parts of the game’s save data to be erased or corrupted.

Reports began popping up online yesterday where 360 users were claiming that the first DLC for the expansive AC3 was causing them to lose their game progress (via GT).

Not all users who installed the DLC experienced this but those that did took to the Ubisoft forums for support. The posts range from people who lost their main campaign progress upon installing the DLC pack to others reporting the opposite, where the main campaign progress is fine but all the side-mission data has been lost.

With it being so late in the console cycle we are seeing less and less new IP. The recently released Dishonored being one major exception.

The Arkane developed stealth action title was received quite well among both gamers and the game media. After reporting about the latest DLC coming to Dishonored, Bethesda has now said that the game did so well that we could have an ongoing franchise on our hands.

Bethesda recently told Destructoid that Dishonored is performing well above sales expectations since its release last month (via GI). While it declined to release any actual sales figures, Bethesda is definitely more than pleased with the title’s performance. The company also confirmed that “We clearly have a new franchise.” Continue reading “Dishonored Exceeds Sales Expectations, Sequel In The Works?” »

This announcement coming not long after the first add-on content dropped for the Gearbox RPG shooter, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty.

At this point not many details have been released on Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage but going by what came along with Capatin Scarlett we should be seeing more guns, more characters, and more vehicles in true borderlands fashion.

Devil May Cry: DMC has received a lot of criticism over its somewhat new take on the franchise and today we get word that a familiar face will be playable in the game’s first DLC. Vergil is a character we all know from past iterations, but Dante’s twin brother isn’t necessarily the guy we remember this time around.

Diving into the character’s past, Vergil’s Downfall will be story driven DLC that will act as a prequel to the main game. This is where we get to see a different side of Vergil and the events that occur before Dante comes in to play. Below we have the new Vergil’s Downfall trailer which was released today and features some gameplay footage of him in action.
