Released in Japan earlier this year as a part of the Zelda series’ 25th anniversary, Hyrule Historia is an art book that documents the making of and chronology of the Zelda franchise among other things.
Long awaited, the book documents the full story that ties all of the Zelda games together, unfortunately for some, it was entirely in Japanese. Check out the images of the Japanese version below.
Hyrule Historia contains the first full chronological layout of the story, fans of the series have been waiting for, as well as a history of the land of Hyrule, years of concept art and developer stories. I don’t know what prompted The Game Station to come up with the idea of crossing Legend of Zelda with Sergio Leone’s A Fistful of Dollars, but WHAT A GENIUS F*CKING MOVE, GAME STATION.
Filmmakers Nathan Kitada & Aaron T. Umetani (“The Brothers Mario”) will debut their Hyrule/badlands mash-up as a 3-part webseries, featuring Link in the Clint Eastwood/Man With No Name role, and none other than Lisa Foiles of Nickelodeon fame playing what looks to be the Zelda/Marisol part.
