During these crappy economic times, rising hip-hop star Professor Green may have innovated a completely new way for struggling (read: broke) musicians and artists to be viable in a music industry that is barely limping along.

The Virgin/EMI-signed rapper this week introduced his “Inconvenience Store”, which is actually nothing of the sort: by watching a certain number of videos, answering trivia questions about Professor Green, and even visiting his Facebook profile (just once), fans earn store Greenbacks — a kind of virtual money which they can use to buy his songs, albums, swag, etc. Continue reading “Professor Green’s ‘Inconvenience Store’: High-Tech Hype or a Digital Revolution?” »
