We’ve received our fair share of amazing fan work over five years of The Jace Hall Show, this most recent examples from the graphic artists at Xtu Productions is no exception.
A couple of avid game players wanted to bring their passion for gaming to life, so where else to turn then making your very own graphic novel? That’s where Xtu and Graytemplar (their gamertags) decided to cook up their own 50 page graphic novel and gather investors for kickstarter.
What makes it especially epic (at least for us) was the inclusion of several Jace Hall moments, including a medieval Felicia Day. We caught up with the guys who are putting it all together, to get an insight into what it takes to turn an idea like a graphic novel, into a reality. In a battle between Aquaman and Green Lantern, who would win? The mighty gilled one who rides sea horses? Or with Superman vs. Green Arrow: How the hell is it even a contest? And yet somehow it is (we promise we wouldn’t waste your time): in the quarter finals of the Injustice Battle Arena – a no-holds-barred superhero debate between Jace and Stan Lee — two of Earth’s mightiest warriors have once again pulled out all the stops in a showdown over which superpower should dominate. It was almost a year ago that epic Comic Book LEGEND Stan Lee and The Jace Hall Show’s very own host, teamed up to find out who the greatest comic book fans of all-time were in the online series Fan Wars. Fan Wars put fans head to head to debate which one of their comic heroes were greater, but today, Stan Lee and Jace Hall get their chance to debate…DC characters? (insert Stan Lee *facepalm* here).
Who would win in a battle? Batman vs. Wonder Woman? The Flash vs. The Joker? Continue reading “Jace Hall and Stan Lee Debate in Epic Standoff: Who is Greater – Batman or Wonder Woman? Flash or The Joker” »

Many of you know Jace as the avuncular host of The Jace Hall Show — the man who never backs down from a gaming competition or shies away from a chance to be silly with his guests.
But in a recent interview for the pilot presentation of “Defying the Odds” – a series hosted by David Jones that takes an in-depth look at celebrities who found success after growing up in the projects – fans get to see the side of Jace that MADE him into the epic gamer he is today. Fans see the man who fell in love with comic books and video games and the reasons why he attached himself to comic superheroes so strongly.
Jace told David in the interview: Continue reading “Jace Hall Talks Gangs, Gaming, and Growing Up In The Projects On “Defying The Odds”” »

Among the thousands of gaming sites clamoring for a piece of Jace Hall at the Planetside 2 Ultimate Empire Showdown Event: FPS General, whose James Lackbeard was curious as to where Hall’s allegiances lay.
Which empire was he rooting for? Undecided, Jace decided — “though I’m leaning a little towards the Vanu Empire.”

Though THAT question would have to be left for the Fan Wars, Jace and David were able to give a sneak preview for what they were working on for Stan Lee’s World of Heroes Youtube Channel. Continue reading “Geek World Radio talks Fan Wars and Superhero Sitcoms with Jace Hall and Peter David” »

Jace Hall, Stan Lee, and Adrianne Curry appeared live today on What’s Trending. Each discussed their early influences and indoctrination into nerd-life, and how vast the world of nerd culture has become for any fans new to the scene.
When asked what it’s like working for Stan the Man, Adrianne gushes, while surprise, surprise, Jace thinks Stan is much nicer to Adrianne than he is to him.
Stan also unveiled plans for his next endeavor with his company POW! (Purveyors of Wisdom). POW will give rise of two new superheroes, one Indian, the other Chinese. Stan says that audience participation will very much be a part of the show and more details will be released in the coming months. Most of the people out there may think they know who The Most Interesting Man in the World is (I don’t usually talk about the most interesting man in the world, but when I do, I compare him to who could be the REAL Most Interesting Man In The World) For those of you familiar with The Jace Hall Shows’ Smoking Jacket/Tuxedo Guy you are aware that:
- The Tuxedo Guy knows more about nipples than any other guy. On puppies. Probably.
- The Tuxedo Guy knows all there is to know about dolphin penal gland size. Which is why he likes to tell people he’s ‘hung like a dolphin.’
-He invented parasailing one drunken night — using only a boat, a rope, and a hammock. Continue reading “Is The Tuxedo Guy THE Most Interesting Man In The World?” »

It all started with a simple image of Jace Hall from a yet to be released episode of Season 5…what resulted were these photos ALL FROM FANS OF THE JACE HALL SHOW. If you haven’t liked our Facebook page yet, here is just a sample of what you are missing.
We have long felt we have the best fans of any show on the internet, and this may just well prove it. Special shout out to Richard Watts for his amazing and epic contributions!
Here’s what he said inspired him:
I wish there were more shows around which were made by people who genuinely love video games, TJHS kind of stands alone, at least from my perspective, which is a shame. I love to screw around with photoshop, and so when I saw the competition on facebook, it seemed like a great opportunity to make some stupid images.
Let us all know your favorite in the comments below and thank you again to EVERYONE who submitted for the Photoshop contest. You are all truly legendary. Continue reading “Photoshop Contest: Jace Hall Show Fans Give Jace A Trip Around The World” »

Beer Robot put together this tribute to I Play W.O.W. Redux using only the bare essentials — little else other than some recording software and samples/bits of Jace Hall‘s song.
Beer (as his friends like me now call him) reached out to us via Twitter to drop this little nugget of audio L337-ness, and damn if it doesn’t put a neat little spin on Jace’s original.

So we’re only days away from the launch of Season 5 in 3D, but for those of you who are unaware, the team behind Season 5 has ALSO been working on Fan Wars the Series with Stan Lee.
So what is FanWars? It’s a lot like arguing with your friends about topics ranging from the greatest super hero to the most dangerous villain, except Jace Hall gets to decide who is right and wrong. Oh, there’s also a celebrity jury to chip in with their two cents. Continue reading “Fan Wars Goes Live, Who Is Spiderman’s True Love?” »

We recently received this email from a fan of The Jace Hall Show regarding a new JACE HALL MUSIC ALBUM that features some of today’s most popular games.
For the n00bz out there who were unaware Jace already had a first album: Video Games Aren’t Bad For You, you should change that status immediately.
But as this fan would like to see Jace go a step further and build off the success of “I Play Wow” and into other games. Continue reading “Ask Jace: What Should Be The Next Rap Song?” »

A few of you have been writing letters to Jace as of late, looking for advice and encouragement in dark times — especially when your creative spirits are down. Being downtrodden in such bleak economic times is understandable, but damn if this latest speech by Rory Sutherland (a legendary ad man who’s helped revolutionize the industry in his home country of Britain) at the TED conference in Athens doesn’t offer some solid hope.
Sutherland’s speech revolves largely around the benefits of creativity and having a healthy perspective in the chaos of everyday life.
One of the best things about his speech is how he sort of helps outline the key points with handy visual highlights. For instance, Sutherland says, we too often forget:
Things are not what they are; they are what we think they are.
Things are what we compare them to. Continue reading “Life Getting You Down? Perspective and Creativity Are EVERYTHING, Says Expert” »

Fishing around for nerdcore on the ‘net can be a seriously time-wasting experience.
Or, it can result in stumbling upon guys like Surgeon General, who seems to have brought a new edge to the genre. The General is less keen on tongue-in-cheek, nerd-friendly topics (aside from video games in general, we mean) then he is injecting a bit of the gangsta side to what he says — which in this case, is an unabashed love of all things Mortal Kombat: Continue reading “Rapper Surgeon General Makes Nerdcore Hardcore” »

As the viral video “I Play WoW” tributes continues to spiral out of control (and there’s no other way we’d have it), we got hold of a pretty awesome tribute from YouTuber Zach 26505, who lip syncs video game songs.
That’s sort of a misnomer; he actually does a kick-ass job of lip-syncing to video game songs, and did us the great service of syncing to a couple of Jace’s own — in this case, Jace’s Mortal Kombat rap, and of course I Play WoW. If the invention of the green-screen has led to anything (besides dozens of films trying to be Avatar) it’s been the ability to pay tribute to your favorite music videos. Besides a little chroma keying, it never hurts to have a sense of humor — and that last component is what makes this tribute video to Jace’s ‘I Play W.O.W’., courtesy of dubmasterist, is an obvious success.
The so called “dub master” the Dumbasterist:
…Makes tributes to songs I really enjoy listening to. If you want me to make a dub video for any song you have in mind, just let me know!

In a world full of up-and-coming new comic book artists, it’s good to remember your roots.
So before we get caught in a big brouhaha over Gaiman vs. McFarlane or Moore vs. Miller or whomever, sometimes it helps to remember where it all started: comic book genius (and of course Jace Hall Show Guest) Stan Lee himself, who launched a re-vamped and re-vitalized spanking new website this past week.
