At first listen, The Death Set doesn’t sound too far off from the dubstep/electro/hip-hop crowd, or somewhere in between.

They manage to deliver on both fronts: Aggressive, loud, literally in-your-face…So right off the bat, there’s a lot to like.

As for art, their video for their single ‘They Come to Get Us,’ off their latest album Worldwide, may very well be one of the most creative goddamn things I’ve ever seen. Continue reading “The Death Set May Have Made the Best Music Video Ever” »

Gaming website InsideGamer noticed something strange about one of the videos that popped up in the wake of the Libyan Revolution’s liberation of tripoli yesterday–if you skip to 1:35 on this youtube clip, you’ll notice on the left wall a familiar Prince staring down on the palace intruders… Continue reading “Prince of Persia Poster spotted in Quadhafi’s son’s palace?” »

You know who News Corp is—FOX NEWS.

Remember when we talked about News of the World maybe hacking 9/11 victims? Looks like we weren’t the only ones who noticed that little tidbit of information. The FBI whipped their heads around at the word 9/11 and are launching an investigation into the New York based Media conglomerate to see just how far the scandal Continue reading “Shots fired at News Corp! The Rock talks smack john cena

Live From Woodland Hills, CA, it’s The Rock talking seemingly endless amounts of smack about John Cena.

“You have gotta be kidding, me…you have got to be kidding me!”

“If you’re at least going to talk trash, let it be entertaining…”

“Shut Your bitch ass up, idiot…”

No, this isn’t a transcript from the latest Congressional hearing over Tax reform (not an official one, at least) this was The Rock’s reactions toward John Cena’s video which criticized him for being “out of the game.”

In the grand tradition of professional wrestling and videos made with the intent of becoming viral, The Rock didn’t hold anything back. But here’s the question, was the video response just another stunt by a professional wrestler or is The Rock for real?

It’s certainly interesting that instead of choosing a more prominent platform to present his message, like a stage, The Rock chose a camera that doesn’t shoot HD video. He still was able to plug his twitter and facebook pages and get the video to nearly 100 thousand hits, which in itself is the most prominent stage in the year 2011.

But politics aside, what is it that The Rock is trying to say? Does he feel threatened by Cena, calling out his wrestling counter-part who has transitioned towards the same “acting career” as him? Are the two still wrestling for supremacy in the WWE World and this is just another tactic to see who is truly on top?

The Rock’s films have grossed over 1 billion dollars, while John Cena is “that guy from The Marine.” To say that The Rock would in any way feel threatened by Cena would be moronic.

The Rock is also quick to point out that he’s not doing it for the cash, while Cena, a rich kid who went thug-life and who studied Douche-enomics (it’s exactly what you think it’s about) is doing it ALL FOR THE MONEY.

But if there’s anything more powerful than money in professional wrestling, or the internet, it’s attention. The Rock took 11 minutes out of his day to vent over a video shot via a cell phone, throughly carving up Cena’s ego in the process. But was he fighting to save his name, or just for stage time?

We might never know the answer, at the very least, we know it’s entertaining.

And the Cena video that got the Ball rolling…
