250px-PlayStation_Network_iconA major news organization in Japan has published a report about Sony’s upcoming Playstation 4.

The Asahi Shimbun reported this morning that Sony’s next generation console will launch this year for 40,000 yen (about $428).

According to The Verge, this is the first time we have heard news about a possible cost of the system, and suggests a fairly aggressive price compared to the troubled Playstation 3 launch.

Unlimited iPhone data coming to Sprint in October?

A report from Bloomberg and various other sources claim that Sprint plans on standing out from the alternatives by offering an actual unlimited data plan for the upcoming iPhone 5. A move that they reportedly hope will give them an advantage over their two biggest competitors, AT&T and Verizon, who are also expected to get the next-gen iPhone when it’s lands sometime next month.

We already knew in recent months that Apple was passing Nokia as top smartphone manufacturer worldwide, but today a new report from Digitimes confirms Apple’s dominance with a prediction of 86.4 million iPhones to be shipped in 2011.
