As long as you’re willing to grab one of their special Android handsets capable of accessing the service, Republic Wireless is gearing up to launch a pretty enticing data package starting November 8th. For $19 a month, the company is offering truly unlimited voice, data, and SMS without bandwidth caps of any kind.
The service works by allowing you to place both VoIP calls over Wi-Fi, and normal calls over a conventional cellular connection. The idea here is that you’re only ever using a traditional cell connection when Wi-Fi is unavailable. SMS gets the same treatment and data will come way of 3G.
